Tiffany Burney, ED. S
Meet Tiffany Burney, a multifaceted educator. Ms. Burney is a Florida native that currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by way of the Great Peach state of Georgia that she called home for over 17 years. Ms. Burney is a Veteran of the U. S. Army, she has worked with the Epidemiology department of Centers for Disease Control, the State Attorney’s office of Jacksonville, FL for the last 20 years Ms. Burney has served students, parents and families in several educational roles. Ms. Burney is an alumna of Kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. Ms. Burney used her B.S. to continue her quest for science from her work experience with Centers for Disease Control. Ms. Burney then enrolled in Jacksonville State University and pursued a master’s in public administration, with a focus in Emergency Management. Her class was among the first classes in Emergency Management. A personal experience led to a shift in her career, and she used her degrees to propel her career in education, ultimately receiving an initial certification in special education general studies. Ms. Burney went on to acquire additional special education certifications in cognitive, learning disorders, social science, and a reading endorsement. Ms. Burney also attended Nova Southwestern University and earned an Educational Specialist degree in educational leadership. Ms. Burney is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Curriculum & Instruction at Lincoln University.
